今我請爾、諮諏我之上帝耶和華、彼所命者、無論其得我心與否、我必聽從、望得亨通。

今我求爾禱於主我之天主、主所命者、無論我悅與不悅、我必聽從、我聽從主我天主之命、庶幾可以獲福、獲福或作亨通

Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God.”

It doesn’t matter whether what you say is in our favor or not. We’re asking you to pray to the Lord our God. And we’ll obey him. Things will go well with us. That’s because we will obey the Lord our God.”

只吩咐他們，『你們要聽從我的話，我就做你們的上帝，你們做我的子民；你們遵行我的吩咐，就必蒙福。』

但願他們常常敬畏我，遵從我的一切誡命，以便他們和他們的子孫世世代代可以蒙福。

這樣，你們便得享長壽，並且可以在你們將要佔領的土地上興盛。

那麼，我們可以說律法本身是罪嗎？當然不是！沒有律法，我們就不知道什麼是罪。律法若不說「不可貪心」，我就不知道什麼是貪心。

他又把約書念給百姓聽，百姓聽了都說：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐，我們願意順服。」

這樣，你們就會得享長壽，你們及子孫就會終生敬畏你們的上帝耶和華，遵守祂藉我吩咐你們的一切律例和誡命。以色列人啊，你們要留心聽，謹慎遵行，以便你們在那奶蜜之鄉可以凡事順利、子孫眾多，正如你們祖先的上帝耶和華給你們的應許。

你必享受自己的勞動成果，得到祝福，行事亨通。

既然如此，難道是良善的誡命叫我死嗎？當然不是！是罪藉著良善的誡命叫我死。這樣，罪藉著誡命叫我死就顯出它實在是邪惡至極！

但願我的子民肯聽從我，以色列人肯遵行我的道。那時，我必迅速制伏他們的敵人，伸手攻擊他們的仇敵。憎惡我的人要在我面前屈膝投降，永遠沉淪。我要以上好的麥子供養我的子民，讓他們飽享磐石間的蜂蜜。」

因為顧念罪惡本性的人與上帝為敵，不服從上帝的律法，也無力服從。

民眾答道：「我們必事奉我們的上帝耶和華，聽從祂的話。」

要告訴義人：他們有福了，必得善報。
