今我請爾、諮諏我之上帝耶和華、彼所命者、無論其得我心與否、我必聽從、望得亨通。

今我求爾禱於主我之天主、主所命者、無論我悅與不悅、我必聽從、我聽從主我天主之命、庶幾可以獲福、獲福或作亨通

Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God.”

我只吩咐他们这一件事说：‘你们当听从我的话，我就作你们的上帝，你们也作我的子民。你们行走我所吩咐的一切道路，就可以得福。’

惟愿他们存这样的心敬畏我，常遵守我一切的诫命，使他们和他们的子孙永远得福。

你们要走耶和华—你们的上帝所吩咐的一切道路，使你们可以存活得福，并使你们的日子在所要承受的地上得以长久。”

这样，我们要怎么说呢？律法是罪吗？绝对不是！但是，若不是藉着律法，我就不知何为罪；若不是律法说“不可贪心”，我就不知何为贪心。

然后，他拿起约书来，念给百姓听。他们说：“耶和华所吩咐的一切，我们都必遵行，也必听从。”

好叫你和你的子孙在一生的日子都敬畏耶和华—你的上帝，谨守他的一切律例、诫命，就是我所吩咐你的，使你的日子得以长久。以色列啊，你要听，要谨守遵行，使你可以在那流奶与蜜之地得福，人数极其增多，正如耶和华—你列祖的上帝所应许你的。

你要吃劳碌得来的；你要享福，凡事顺利。

那么，那善的是叫我死吗？绝对不是！叫我死的是罪。罪藉着那善的叫我死，为要显出这真是罪，以致罪藉着诫命更显出是恶极了。

我的子民若肯听从我，以色列肯行我的道，我就速速制伏他们的仇敌，反手攻击他们的敌人。恨耶和华的人必来投降，愿他们的厄运直到永远。他必拿上好的麦子给以色列吃，又拿磐石出的蜂蜜使你饱足。”

因为体贴肉体就是与上帝为敌，对上帝的律法不顺服，事实上也无法顺服。

百姓对约书亚说：“我们必事奉耶和华—我们的上帝，听从他的话。”

你们要对义人说，他是有福的，因为他必吃自己行为所结的果实。
