I have heard a message from the Lord; an envoy was sent to the nations to say,“ Assemble yourselves to attack it! Rise up for battle!”

I’ve heard a message from the Lord. A messenger was sent to the nations. The Lord told him to say,“ Gather yourselves together to attack Edom! Prepare for battle!”

你们不要心惊胆怯，也不要因在境内听到的谣言惧怕；因为今年有谣言传来，明年也会有谣言传来，境内有强暴的事，官长互相攻击。

因为，看哪！我必激动强国从北方之地联群而来，攻击巴比伦；他们要列阵攻打巴比伦；巴比伦就必被攻取。他们的箭必像善战的勇士，不会空手而回。迦勒底必成为掠物，掳掠它的都必心满意足。”这是耶和华的宣告。“抢夺我产业的啊！你们虽然欢喜快乐，像踹谷的母牛犊跳跃，像雄壮的马嘶叫；但你们的母亲必极度羞愧，生你们的必受耻辱。看哪！她要在列国中沦为最弱小的，成为旷野、旱地、沙漠。”因耶和华的烈怒，巴比伦必没有人居住，完全荒废；每一个住过巴比伦的，都必因这地遭受的一切创伤而惊骇，并且嗤笑它。所有拉弓的啊！你们要在巴比伦四围列阵；射箭攻击它，不要吝啬箭枝，因为它得罪了耶和华。你们要在它的四周吶喊攻击它；它投降了，它城墙的支柱倒塌了，它的城墙拆毁了。因为这是耶和华的报复；你们要向巴比伦报复，它怎样待人，你们也要怎样待它。你们要把播种的，和在收割的时候手持镰刀的，都从巴比伦剪除；因为欺压者的刀剑，他们各人必归回自己的本族，各自逃回自己的故乡。

惊恐临到，他们就求平安，却得不着。灾祸加上灾祸，坏消息加上坏消息，不绝而来，他们要向先知求异象，但是，祭司的教训、长老的指导，都必断绝，

你们要听见战争，也听见战争的风声；你们要小心，不要惊慌，因为这是免不了的，不过结局还没有到。

“你们要在地上竖起旗帜，在列国中吹号角，使列国作好准备攻击巴比伦，把亚拉腊、米尼、亚实基拿等国召来攻击她，又指派元帅来攻击她，使马匹像蝗虫汹涌上来。你们要使列国作好准备攻击她，使玛代诸王，和她的省长、总监，以及他们辖下各地的人民都作好准备攻击她。

你们要磨尖箭头，拿起盾牌（“拿起盾牌”《七十士译本》译作“装满箭袋”）；耶和华定意要毁灭巴比伦，所以激动玛代诸王的心；这是耶和华的报复，就是为他的殿而施行的报复。

这就是那经常差派使者，在水面上乘坐蒲草船渡海的地方。去吧！快行的使者，到那身躯高大、皮肤光滑的国去，到一个远近都为人所惧怕的民族那里去，这国是强盛和践踏人的，他们的地有河流把地分开。世上所有的居民，住在全地上的人哪！山上竖起旗帜的时候，你们要注意；号角吹响的时候，你们要聆听。

看哪！我必使灵进入他里面，以致他听见风声就归回本地；我必使他在那里倒在刀下。’”

你要在光秃的山上竖起旗帜，向众人扬声挥手，叫他们进入权贵的门。我向我特选的军兵下了命令；我也呼召了我的勇士，就是我那些骄傲自夸的人，去执行我在怒气中所要作的。
