耶和華又曰、我指己而誓、破斯喇必變荒蕪、諸邑傾圮、為人駭異、譏剌咒詛。

使巴比倫邑、變為瓦礫、野犬穴之、無人居處、為眾駭異、時聞怨聲。

凡過此有名之殿宇、必駭異、作怨憤之聲。如有詢及者曰、耶和華毀此殿、害此國也、曷故。

致其地荒蕪、人恆作怨憤之聲、過之者必愕然駭異、搖首弗已。

暗利王之法度、爾乃恪守焉、亞哈家之愆尤、爾反則傚、與之同謀焉、故我必使爾邑荒蕪、人作怨恨之聲、昔爾為我民、後必為眾戮辱焉。

我必拔斯民之根株、驅於所錫之地、我所成聖之殿、為籲我名之所者、必廢、使兆民作歌譏刺。凡過此有名之殿宇、必駭異、如有詢及者曰、耶和華燬此殿、害此國也、曷故。

以東諸溪、變為瀝青、塵埃化為硫磺、焚燬遍境、烟燄上騰、不舍晝夜、其地荒蕪、幾歷世代、後人無復過之者、鵜鶘毛蝟聚處焉、鷺鷥烏鴉棲止焉、我循準繩、以滅以東、在牧伯貴介中、欲簡一人為王、實難其選、荊棘叢生於宮闕、蒺藜萌長於城垣、蝮蛇鴕鳥、居處其中、暴獸野犬遇於途、魑魅魍魎嘷於野、妖狐山魈、據之為寧宇、有蛇疾行若箭、穴於其所、涵淹卵育、雌雄之鸇鳥、翔集於彼、

以色列地既成荒邱、爾西耳山以東四境、靡不悅懌、故我使爾荒蕪、俾知我乃耶和華。

凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。敵口孔張、切齒憤聲、曰、我所望者、今日之事、斯邑吞噬、我所目睹兮。

此乃淫佚之邑、僭稱主母、自謂莫之與京、今變荒蕪、獸伏其間、凡過之者、必作怨憤之聲、搖首不已。

故我耶和華必擊以東、俾人畜俱無噍類、使提慢荒蕪、底但人飲刃、
