次日，巴施户珥把耶利米从枷锁上解下来，耶利米就对他说：“耶和华不再称你的名为巴施户珥，却要称你为玛歌珥．米撒毕（“玛歌珥．米撒毕”意即“四围惊慌”）。因为耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都惊惶失措；他们必倒在他们仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我要把全犹大交在巴比伦王手中；他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，或用刀击杀他们。

毁灭的消息频传，因为全国尽都毁坏，我的帐棚忽然毁坏，我的幔子转瞬破裂。
