你们一个一个经过城墙的破口出去，被丢弃在哈门。”这是耶和华的宣告。

因为耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都惊惶失措；他们必倒在他们仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我要把全犹大交在巴比伦王手中；他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，或用刀击杀他们。

看哪，我要使他的心惊颤（“使他的心惊颤”原文作“放一个灵在他里面”），他将听见消息，就退回自己的地方去；我要使他在自己的国土倒在刀下。’”

因为主使亚兰人的军队听见战车、战马和大军的声音；他们就彼此说：“看哪，一定是以色列王雇用了赫人的众王和埃及人的众王来攻击我们。”于是他们在黄昏的时候起来逃跑，他们丢下他们的帐幕，他们的马匹和他们的驴子；军营仍在那里，他们却只顾逃命去了。

恶人虽然没有人追赶，仍然逃跑；义人却像狮子，放胆无惧。

你兄弟遭遇祸患的日子，你不该看着不理；犹大人被灭的日子，你不该幸灾乐祸；他们遭难的日子，你不该张口狂傲；我子民遭灾的日子，你不该进入他们的城门；他们遭灾的日子，你不该看着他们受苦；他们遭灾的日子，你不该抢夺他们的财物。你不该站在岔路口，剪除他们中间逃脱的人；他们遭难的日子，你不该把他们生还的人交出来。

对他们二人说：“我知道耶和华已经把这地赐给你们了，你们使我们十分害怕，这地所有的居民都在你们面前胆战心惊。

“求你给我们献谋略，作裁判！使你的影子在午间如同黑夜，把被赶逐的人隐藏起来，不可出卖逃亡的人。

恐怖之声常在他的耳中，太平的时候，强盗就来袭击他。
