“ Among my people are the wicked who lie in wait like men who snare birds and like those who set traps to catch people.

“ Jeremiah, some of my people are evil. They hide and wait just as people hide to catch birds. They set traps for people.

For wicked men are found among my people; they lurk like fowlers lying in wait. They set a trap; they catch men.

惟爾人子、斯邑中殺人流血、爾責之乎、爾若責之、則使其知所作一切可憎之事、爾當言、主天主如是云、斯邑中殺人流血、作偶像染污穢、受報之日至矣、爾殺人流血自取罪戾、作偶像自染污穢、自使受報之日速至、爾存留之年日將盡、我使爾為諸國所詬詈、萬邦所訕笑、與爾遠近之國、皆譏誚爾、因爾遺臭名、多行亂事、以色列牧伯、俱於爾中竭力殺人流血、爾中有人藐視父母、爾中有人虐遇客旅、爾中有人欺凌孤寡、爾藐視我之聖物、犯我之安息日、爾中有人行讒毀為殺人流血、爾中有人食於山上獻偶像之祭物、爾中有人行諸邪淫、爾中有人烝父繼室、爾中有人玷辱行經之婦、爾中有人、與他人之妻行可憎之事、爾中有人行淫玷辱子婦、爾中有人玷辱同父之姊妹、爾中有人受賄為殺人流血、有人索利取息、訛詐人、欺騙人、爾竟忘我、此乃主天主所言、

願主使敵軍忽至而攻之、使哀泣之聲、聞於其家、因彼掘坑阱、欲陷害我、設機械、欲絆我足、

主曰、爾當大呼、毋息焉、揚聲若角音、向我民宣示其過、向雅各家宣示其罪、

主何為使人若海魚、若無君之昆蟲耶、彼以鈎釣取一切、以網捕之、以罟集之、因此欣喜歡樂、

設網而羽族見之、則網徒設、斯人乃設伏以害己身、以害己身原文作以流己之血立謀以傷己命、

主曰、我民愚拙、俱不知我、蒙昧之子、毫無明哲、惟巧於行惡、不知行善、
