因为听见战马的蹄声，还有战车辚辚和车轮辘辘的响声，作父亲的双手酸软无力，不能照顾他们的儿女。

就是要兴起迦勒底人，那残忍凶暴的民；他们遍行全地，占领别人的家园。他们恐怖可怕，自以为义，趾高气扬。他们的马比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。他们的骑兵奔驰，自远而来；他们如鹰飞翔，迅速吞噬。

因此，地虽然震动，群山虽然崩塌入海洋的深处，我们也不害怕。虽然海浪翻腾澎湃，虽然山岳因波涛汹涌摇动，我们也不害怕。（细拉）

列邦喧嚷，万国动摇；神一发声，地就融化。

将要被毁灭的（“将要被毁灭的”有古译本作“毁灭者”）巴比伦城（“城”原文作“女子”）啊！照着你待我们的行为报复你的，那人有福了。抓住你的婴孩摔在磐石上的，那人有福了。

因为他们曾流圣徒和先知的血，现在你给他们血喝，这是他们该受的。”

他们的箭锐利，所有的弓都上了弦；他们的马蹄看来像火石，车辆似旋风。

耶和华这样说：“看哪！有一个民族从北方之地而来，有一大国被激动从地极来到。他们紧握弓和枪，性情残忍，毫无怜悯；他们的声音像海洋怒吼；锡安的居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）哪！他们骑着战马，在战场上如同一人，列阵攻击你们。”

求你顾念所立的约，因为地上黑暗的地方充满了强暴的居所。

因为对不行怜悯的人，审判他们的时候就没有怜悯；怜悯胜过审判。

天上的众军，都骑着白马，穿着洁白的细麻衣，跟随着他。有一把利剑从他口中吐出来，他要用这剑击打列国，他必用铁杖治理他们；并且还要踹全能神烈怒的压酒池。在他的衣服和大腿上，写着“万王之王，万主之主”的名号。我又看见一位天使站在太阳中，向高空所有的飞鸟大声呼喊说：“你们来吧！齐集起来赴神的大筵席！可以吃君王的肉、将领的肉、壮士的肉，马和骑士的肉，以及自由的、作奴隶的、大的、小的，所有人的肉。”

就是那在忿怒中不住击打众民、在怒气中管辖列国、毫无抑制地施行迫害的。

所有拉弓的啊！你们要在巴比伦四围列阵；射箭攻击它，不要吝啬箭枝，因为它得罪了耶和华。
