When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

When he utters his voice there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

然而永恆主卻將大風拋擲在海上，海上就起了大風暴；船很像要破壞的樣子。

永恆主在天上打雷；至高者發出他的聲音，冰雹及火炭。

是永恆主用他的能力造了大地，用他的智慧建立了世界，用他的聰明展開了諸天。他一發聲，空中便有多水之激動喧囂；他使雲霧從地儘邊上騰；他給霖雨造閃電，又從他府庫中吹出風來。

基路伯翅膀的響聲連外院也可以聽得到，就像全能上帝說話時的聲音。

他一發出他的話，這一切就熔化；他使他的風颳起，水便流動。

上帝記起挪亞來，也記起那些同挪亞在樓船裏的一切走獸、一切牲口；上帝叫風吹過地上，水就漸漸消退。

或是為作刑杖，以罰他的地，或是為顯堅愛、他才使電光閃耀着。

『你能向雲彩揚起聲來，使洶湧的水淹沒着你麼？你能打發閃電、叫它們走去，使它們對你說：「我們在這裏」麼？誰將智慧放給朱鷺？誰將明達賜給雄雞呢？塵土凝固如鑄造物，泥塊緊緊膠結，誰能用智慧去數算煙雲，將天上水袋傾倒下來呢？

向那乘駕諸天、萬古之天的、高獻讚歌；哦，他發出聲音、強有力的聲音。

摩西向海伸手，永恆主便終夜用極強的東風使海退去；他使海成了旱地；水也裂開了。

聽啊，聽上帝轟轟的響聲，他口中所發出的宏音。他發雷聲、響遍天下，他發電光、閃到地角。隨後雷聲隆隆，大發威嚴的雷轟；雷聲一被聽見，他總不滯延着閃電。上帝發奇妙的雷聲；他行大事、我們不能知。他吩咐雪說：「要下在地上！」也吩咐大雨暴雨：「要使勁地下！」他封住各人的手，使萬人都曉得他的作為。百獸進入臥穴中，躺在牠們的洞窟內。有暴風出於南宮，有寒冷出於北方。上帝噓氣就有水，廣闊的水都凝結。他使密雲積滿着濕氣；雲彩布散其光；

你有上帝那樣的膀臂麼？你能用他那樣聲音發雷霆麼？

因你的叱責、水便奔逃；因你的雷聲、水便急流而退。

永恆主轉了極強勁的西風，把蝗蟲颳了起來，吹進蘆葦海；在埃及四境、連一個蝗蟲也沒有剩下。

列邦喧嚷，萬國動搖；上帝發聲，地便熔化。

他領了東風吹於天空，又用能力將南風引來。

日出時，上帝又安排了炎熱的東風，日頭曬了約拿的頭，以致他暈過去，他就為自己求死，說：『我死了比活着還好。』

看哪，上帝至大、我們不能知；他的年數、不能測度。因為他吸取了水點，這水點發了霧氣，就蒸餾為雨。雲天溜下雨水，雨水就滴落給億萬人。誰能明白雲彩之鋪開，和上帝雲幕中的雷聲呢？看哪，他將他的霧氣散布於四圍；又籠罩着羣山頂上。他用這些去飼養萬族之民，又賜豐富的糧食。他的手掌有電光遮掩着；他就吩咐閃電去擊中敵人。其霹靂說明了他的盛怒；他是以惱怒憎忌不義的。

『你進過雪庫，或見過雹倉麼？

永恆主發神諭說：『以色列人哪，你們在我看不是像古實人麼？豈不是我領以色列人從埃及地上來，領非利士人從迦斐託、領亞蘭人從吉珥、上來麼？

耶穌對他們說：『小信的人哪，為甚麼膽怯？』便起來，斥責風和海，就大大平靜了。那些人都希奇說：『這是甚麼樣的人啊？連風跟海也聽從他！』

永恆主的聲音在眾水上；榮耀的上帝在打雷，永恆主打雷於大水之上。永恆主的聲音大有能力；永恆主的聲音滿有威嚴。永恆主的聲音震折了香柏樹；永恆主震斷了利巴嫩的香柏樹。他使利巴嫩跳躍如牛犢，使西連山蹦跳如野牛犢。永恆主的聲音砍開火焰來。永恆主的聲音使曠野慌張旋轉。永恆主使加低斯的曠野旋轉慌張。永恆主的聲音使篤耨香樹旋轉，使森林中的樹木脫落淨光；凡在他殿堂中的都說：『榮耀！』永恆主對着洪水而坐着為王，永恆主坐着為王到永遠。

摩西就向埃及地伸了手杖，那天一整天、那夜一整夜、永恆主引了東風到那地來；到了早晨，東風把蝗蟲都颳了來。
