Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

耶和華說：「我的子民啊，我要為你們伸冤，替你們報仇；我要使巴比倫的江河枯竭，泉源乾涸。

因此，耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我必為你的案件申訴，為你報仇；我必使巴比倫的河水枯竭，使它們的水源乾涸。

因此永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我必為你的案件而伸訴，為你報復；我必使巴比倫的海枯竭，使她水源乾涸。

故耶和華曰、我必為爾伸冤、為爾復仇、涸其海、竭其泉、

耶和華曰、我必伸爾冤、為爾雪忿、惟彼泉源、我必涸之、

故主如是云、我必伸爾冤、為爾復仇、必涸巴比倫河河原文作海竭其源、

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ See, I will defend your cause and avenge you; I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.

So the Lord says,“ I will stand up for you. I will pay the Babylonians back for what they did to you. I will dry up their water supply. I will make their springs run dry.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will plead your cause and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her fountain dry,

This is what the Lord says to Jerusalem:“ I will be your lawyer to plead your case, and I will avenge you. I will dry up her river, as well as her springs,

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to champion your cause and take vengeance on your behalf; I will dry up her sea and make her fountain run dry.

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to plead your case And take vengeance for you; And I will dry up her sea And make her fountain dry.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.

Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I am about to plead your case and take vengeance on your behalf; I will dry up her sea and make her fountain run dry.

Therefore the LORD says,“ I will stand up for your cause. I will pay the Babylonians back for what they have done to you. I will dry up their sea. I will make their springs run dry.

Therefore Yahweh says:“ Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.

A drought[ is] upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it[ is] the land of graven images, and they are mad upon[ their] idols.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but[ rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance[ is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted,[ and] the right of the poor.

That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:

Rejoice, O ye nations,[ with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land,[ and] to his people.

To me[ belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in[ due] time: for the day of their calamity[ is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance[ belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.[ It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and[ for] the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned[ against] thy soul.For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!Behold,[ is it] not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to[ him], and makest[ him] drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing[ shall be] on thy glory.For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts,[ which] made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah[ were] oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.Their Redeemer[ is] strong; the LORD of hosts[ is] his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

For their redeemer[ is] mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this[ is] the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.

He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD[ shall be] a light unto me.I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light,[ and] I shall behold his righteousness.Then[ she that is] mine enemy shall see[ it], and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:For true and righteous[ are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever:[ so] that thou didst not lay these[ things] to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.Therefore hear now this,[ thou that art] given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I[ am], and none else beside me; I shall not sit[ as] a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:But these two[ things] shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries,[ and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD[ am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry[ is] in the ships.
