For the time will surely come when I will punish the idols of Babylon; her whole land will be disgraced and her slain will all lie fallen within her.

I will punish the gods of Babylon. That time will certainly come. Then the whole land will be full of shame. Its people will lie down and die there.

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the images of Babylon; her whole land shall be put to shame, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

For the time is surely coming when I will punish this great city and all her idols. Her whole land will be disgraced, and her dead will lie in the streets.

宜宣告於列邦、豎立旌旆、播揚勿隱、曰、巴比倫被陷、彼勒蒙羞、米羅達傾覆、其神像慚愧、其偶像傾覆、

耶和華曰、時日將至、我必懲罰其雕像、受傷者呻吟、遍滿其地、

彼勒傾覆、尼波俯伏、其像負於牲畜、爾素所舁之物、成為重負、使牲畜困憊、彼皆傾覆、同俯伏、不能救其重負、己亦為人所虜、○

適有軍旅、乘馬耦行而來、語曰、巴比倫傾圮矣、傾圮矣、其神之雕像、悉毀於地矣、

耶和華曰、刃臨於迦勒底人、與巴比倫居民、及其牧伯哲士、刃臨於矜誇者、使為愚蠢、刃臨於其武士、使之驚惶、刃臨於其馬與車、暨其中雜族、使若婦女、刃臨於其貨財、使遭攘奪、旱及於諸水、使之盡涸、因其為雕像之境也、彼眾若狂以奉偶像、故野獸與豺狼、必居於彼、鴕鳥亦處其間、永為荒墟、歷世無人居處、耶和華曰、必如所多瑪蛾摩拉、及其鄰邑之傾覆、無人居處、世人不寓其中、

悉屬虛無、惑人之工、譴責之際、俱必滅亡、

七十年既竟、我必罰巴比倫王與其國、及迦勒底人之地、使之永久荒蕪、以治其罪、耶和華言之矣、

耶和華曰、昔巴比倫人、暨迦勒底居民、在錫安所行之惡、我必報之、使爾目睹、○

爾所交之友朋、耶和華立之為首、以制爾時、尚有何詞、豈不痛苦、若臨產之婦乎、

其邑荒蕪、成為燥土沙漠、無人居處之地、世人不經歷之、

故萬軍之耶和華曰、我必罰之、少壯必亡於鋒刃、子女必死於饑饉、

爾母必蒙羞、生爾者必抱愧、為列國之末、亦為曠野、燥土沙漠、緣耶和華之怒、必成荒蕪、無人居處、凡過巴比倫者、必將驚駭、因其所遭之禍、而嗤笑之、挽弓之眾歟、爾其列陳、環攻巴比倫、射之毋惜厥矢、以其干罪於耶和華也、環之而呼、彼已投誠、其堞毀壞、其垣傾圮、斯乃耶和華復仇、爾當復仇於彼、依其所行而報之、在巴比倫播種者、與穡時執鐮者宜悉絕之、緣懼殘酷之刃、必各返本族、歸故土、○

凡先知、或祭司、或庶民、言耶和華之警示者、我必罰其人、及其家、
