Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

For the time will surely come when I will punish the idols of Babylon; her whole land will be disgraced and her slain will all lie fallen within her.

I will punish the gods of Babylon. That time will certainly come. Then the whole land will be full of shame. Its people will lie down and die there.

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the images of Babylon; her whole land shall be put to shame, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

For the time is surely coming when I will punish this great city and all her idols. Her whole land will be disgraced, and her dead will lie in the streets.

Therefore, look, the days are coming when I will punish Babylon’s carved images. Her entire land will suffer shame, and all her slain will lie fallen within her.

Therefore behold, days are coming When I will punish the idols of Babylon; And her whole land will be put to shame. And all her slain will fall in her midst.

Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will execute judgment upon the graven images of Babylon; and her whole land shall be confounded; and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

Therefore, look, the days are coming when I will punish Babylon’s carved images. Her entire land will suffer shame, and all her slain will lie fallen within her.

“ So the time will certainly come when I will punish the idols of Babylon. Her whole land will be put to shame. All her mortally wounded will collapse in her midst.

Therefore behold, the days come that I will execute judgment on the engraved images of Babylon; and her whole land will be confounded. All her slain will fall in the middle of her.

Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish,[ and] conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages[ were] heavy loaden;[ they are] a burden to the weary[ beast].They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men,[ with] a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.

A sword[ is] upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise[ men].A sword[ is] upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword[ is] upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.A sword[ is] upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that[ are] in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword[ is] upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.A drought[ is] upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it[ is] the land of graven images, and they are mad upon[ their] idols.Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell[ there], and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour[ cities] thereof, saith the LORD;[ so] shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

They[ are] vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished,[ that] I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them[ to be] captains,[ and] as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?

Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth[ any] son of man pass thereby.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:

Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations[ shall be] a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it[ is] the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.

And[ as for] the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.
