行詭詐的在羣中有公羊，他許願卻用有殘疾的獻給主，這人是可咒詛的。因為我是大君王，我的名在外邦中是可畏的。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

當夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被殺。米底亞人大流士年六十二歲，取了迦勒底國。

伯沙撒王為他的一千大臣設擺盛筵，與這一千人對面飲酒。伯沙撒歡飲之間，吩咐人將他父尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷殿中所掠的金銀器皿拿來，王與大臣、皇后、妃嬪好用這器皿飲酒。於是他們把耶路撒冷神殿庫房中所掠的金器皿拿來，王和大臣、皇后、妃嬪就用這器皿飲酒。他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神。

耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來一看，都是死屍了。

我心慌張，驚恐威嚇我。我所羨慕的黃昏，變為我的戰兢。他們擺設筵席，派人守望，又吃又喝。首領啊，你們起來，用油抹盾牌。

她怎樣待人，也要怎樣待她，按她所行的加倍地報應她；用她調酒的杯加倍地調給她喝。她怎樣榮耀自己，怎樣奢華，也當叫她照樣痛苦悲哀，因她心裏說：我坐了皇后的位，並不是寡婦，決不至於悲哀。

你們像叢雜的荊棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎稭全然燒滅。

地上的君王，素來與她行淫、一同奢華的，看見燒她的煙，就必為她哭泣哀號。

給人酒喝、又加上毒物、使他喝醉、好看見他下體的有禍了！你滿受羞辱，不得榮耀；你也喝吧，顯出是未受割禮的！耶和華右手的杯必傳到你那裏；你的榮耀就變為大大地羞辱。你向黎巴嫩行強暴與殘害驚嚇野獸的事必遮蓋你；因你殺人流血，向國內的城並城中一切居民施行強暴。
