“‘ We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to our own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the heavens.’

“ The nations say,‘ We would have healed Babylon. But it can’t be healed. So let’s leave it. Let’s each go to our own land. Babylon’s sins reach all the way to the skies. They rise up as high as the heavens.’

使多人绊跌；他们也彼此撞倒，说：“起来吧！我们再往本民本地去，好躲避欺压的刀剑。”

说：“我的神啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我神仰面；因为我们的罪孽灭顶，我们的罪恶滔天。

但那里有耶和华的一个先知，名叫俄德，出来迎接往撒玛利亚去的军兵，对他们说：“因为耶和华你们列祖的神恼怒犹大人，所以将他们交在你们手里，你们竟怒气冲天，大行杀戮。

你所劳神的事都要这样与你无益；从幼年与你贸易的也都各奔各乡，无人救你。

麦秋已过，夏令已完，我们还未得救！

你所见的树渐长，而且坚固，高得顶天，从地极都能看见；叶子华美，果子甚多，可作众生的食物；田野的走兽住在其下；天空的飞鸟宿在枝上。“王啊，这渐长又坚固的树就是你。你的威势渐长及天，你的权柄管到地极。

她们去买的时候，新郎到了。那预备好了的，同他进去坐席，门就关了。其余的童女随后也来了，说：‘主啊，主啊，给我们开门！’他却回答说：‘我实在告诉你们，我不认识你们。’所以，你们要警醒；因为那日子，那时辰，你们不知道。”

其中的雇勇好像圈里的肥牛犊，他们转身退后，一齐逃跑，站立不住；因为他们遭难的日子、追讨的时候已经临到。
