因為她的罪已纍纍連天了，她所作不對的事、上帝都記得。

你中間的雜族人絆跌仆倒，彼此對說。「起來，我們回到我們本族人那裏，回我們出生之地去，好躲避欺壓人的刀劍。」

說：『我的上帝啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我的上帝仰面，因為我們的罪愆多到滅頂，我們的罪過大到滔天。

但那裏有永恆主的一個神言人名叫俄德、出來迎接那到撒瑪利亞來的軍隊，對他們說：『只因永恆主你們列祖的上帝惱怒了猶大人，他才將他們交在你們手裏，你們竟怒氣沖天，殺戮了他們。

你所勞勞碌碌的、那從你幼年跟你交易的、對你都必這樣無用；他們都必飄流，各奔各方，沒有拯救你的！

『收割時候已過，夏天日子已盡，我們呢、還未得救助！』

你所見的樹直長起來，長得很堅強，高到頂天，全地都能看到；它的葉子美麗，它的果子極多，眾生的食物就在其中，山野的走獸住它之下，空中的飛鳥居於它的枝子。王啊，這直長起來，而長得很堅強的就是你。你的強大直增強着，強到頂天，你的權柄管到地極。

她們去買的時候，新郎到了；那些有準備的同他進去赴婚筵，門就關了。其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：「主啊，主啊，給我們開吧！」他卻回答說：「我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。」所以你們要儆醒，因為你們不知道那日子或那時辰。

牠中間雇傭的兵也像圈裏養肥的牛犢；因為就在他們遭遇災難的日子、受察罰關頭臨到他們身上時，他們也竟轉身、一齊逃跑，沒有站住。
