如果你们因为骄傲而不肯听，我会暗自哭泣、泪流满面，因为耶和华的子民将要被掳。

所以，我说：“你们不要管我，让我痛哭一场吧！不要安慰我，我的同胞都被毁灭了。”

百姓啊，你们要身披麻布，在灰中打滚；你们要悲伤痛哭，如丧独子，因为毁灭者将突然临到我们。

我哭得眼睛失明，心如刀割，肝胆欲碎，因为人民惨遭毁灭，儿童和婴孩昏倒在街头。

我泪流成河，因为人们不遵行你的律法。

同胞的创伤令我伤心欲绝，痛苦万分，惊慌失措。难道基列没有药物、没有医生吗？为什么我同胞的创伤至今未愈？

因此，我像雅谢人一样为西比玛的葡萄树哀哭。希实本和以利亚利啊，我用眼泪来浇灌你们，因为再无人为你们的果品和庄稼而欢呼了。

人子啊，你要在他们面前哀叹，要伤心欲绝地哀叹。如果有人问你为什么哀叹，你就说有噩耗传来，听见的人都胆战心惊、两手发软、精神萎靡、膝弱如水。灾难必很快发生。这是主耶和华说的。”

“耶利米，你要对他们说，‘让我昼夜泪眼汪汪吧，因为我的同胞遭受重创，遍体鳞伤。

我不吃不喝，昼夜以泪洗面，人们整天讥笑我：“你的上帝在哪里？”

锡安的城墙啊，你要从心里向主呼求！你的眼泪要像江河一样昼夜涌流，不歇不眠。你要在夜间起来，在主面前整夜呼求，向祂倾心吐意；你要为饿昏街头的孩童向主举手祷告。

因同胞被毁灭，我泪流成河。我的眼泪涌流不息，

我的心啊，我的心啊！我伤心欲绝，烦躁不安。我无法保持缄默，因为我听见了号角声和呐喊声。
