Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.

If only my head were a pool of water and my eyes a fountain of tears, I would weep day and night for all my people who have been slaughtered.

If my head were a flowing spring, my eyes a fountain of tears, I would weep day and night over the slain of my dear people.

( 8: 23) I wish that my head were a well full of water and my eyes were a fountain full of tears! If they were, I could cry day and night for those of my dear people who have been killed.

如果你們不聽從，我必因你們的驕傲暗暗哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羊群被擄去了。

因此我說：“要轉開你們的眼，不要望著我，讓我痛哭吧！不要因我人民的毀滅，而急急安慰我。”

我的同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的女子”）啊！應當披上麻布，在灰塵中打滾，悲哀如喪獨生子，號咷痛哭，因為有行毀滅的會突然攻擊我們。

我的眼睛因流淚而失明，我的心腸激動，我的肝膽傾倒在地，都因我的子民（“我的子民”原文作“我子民的女子”）遭毀滅，孩童和嬰兒在城裡的街上昏倒。

我的眼淚像河水湧流，因為人都不謹守你的律法。

因著我的同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的女子”）被壓碎，我的心破碎了；我悲傷痛哭，驚慌抓住了我。難道基列沒有乳香嗎？難道那裡沒有醫生嗎？我的同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的女子”）為甚麼總不痊愈呢？

因此，我要為西比瑪的葡萄樹哀哭，像雅謝人的哀哭一樣。希實本和以利亞利啊！我要用眼淚浸透你；因為有吶喊的聲音臨到你夏天的果子和你收割的莊稼。

人子啊！至於你，你要歎息，在他們眼前彎著腰，苦苦歎息。他們如果問你：‘你為甚麼歎息呢？’你就要回答：‘是因為那將要來到的消息；人人都必心慌意亂，手都發軟，精神衰頹，他們的膝都像水一般的柔弱。看哪！它要來到了。這事一定要成就。這是主耶和華的宣告。’”

“你要對他們說這話：‘願我的眼淚直流，日夜不停；因為我的同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的處女”）遭受極大的毀滅，受到很嚴重的打擊。

人整天對我說：“你的神在哪裡呢？”我就晝夜以眼淚當飯吃。

錫安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）的城牆啊，你要一心向主哀求；願你的眼淚像江河般湧流，晝夜不息；願你得不著歇息，願你眼中的瞳人不能休息。夜裡每到交更的時分，你要起來呼喊；在主面前你要傾心如水！你的孩童在各街頭上因飢餓而昏倒，你要為他們的性命向主舉手禱告。

我的眼淚像江河流下，都因我的人民的滅亡。我的眼淚湧流不停，總不止息，

我的肺腑，我的肺腑啊！我絞痛欲絕。我的心哪！我的心在我裡面顫抖，我不能緘默不語。我的靈啊！我聽見了號角的聲音，也聽見了戰爭的吶喊。
