Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Consider and call for the mourning women, That they may come; And send for skillful wailing women, That they may come.

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them.

The Lord rules over all. He says,“ Here is something I want you to think about. Send for the women who mourn for the dead. Send for the most skilled among them.”

Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Consider, and call for the mourning women to come; send for the skillful women to come;

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:“ Consider all this, and call for the mourners. Send for the women who mourn at funerals.

This is what the LORD of Armies says: Consider, and summon the women who mourn; send for the skillful women.

This is what the Lord of armies says:“ Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come; And send for the skillful women, that they may come!

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for the skilful women, that they may come:

This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Consider, and summon the women who mourn; send for the skillful women.

The LORD who rules over all told me to say to this people,“ Take note of what I say. Call for the women who mourn for the dead! Summon those who are the most skilled at it!”

Yahweh of Armies says,“ Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for the skillful women, that they may come.

Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets.

Jeremiah also lamented for Josiah. And to this day all the singing men and the singing women speak of Josiah in their lamentations. They made it a custom in Israel; and indeed they are written in the Laments.

Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this:“ There shall be wailing in all streets, And they shall say in all the highways,‘ Alas! Alas!’ They shall call the farmer to mourning, And skillful lamenters to wailing.In all vineyards there shall be wailing, For I will pass through you,” Says the Lord.

Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly.

May those curse it who curse the day, Those who are ready to arouse Leviathan.

When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing,
