妇女们哪，你们当听耶和华的话，领受他口中的言语；又当教导你们的儿女举哀，各人教导邻舍唱哀歌。

妇人啊，你们要听耶和华的话，接受祂的教诲；你们要教导女儿哀哭，教导邻居唱挽歌。

維爾諸婦、當聽耶和華言、耳聆其口所出之詞、其訓爾女號咷、各誨爾鄰哀哭、

先知曰、維爾眾女、耶和華之言、宜傾耳以聽焉、當令爾女舉哀、鄰里哭泣。

先知曰、惟爾眾婦、當聽主言、傾耳聽其口之語、當教爾女以舉哀、彼此相誨以謳哀歌、

Now, you women, hear the word of the Lord; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.

You women, hear the Lord’ s message. Listen to what he’s saying. Teach your daughters how to mourn for the dead. Teach one another a song of sadness.

Hear, O women, the word of the Lord, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a lament, and each to her neighbor a dirge.

Listen, you women, to the words of the Lord; open your ears to what he has to say. Teach your daughters to wail; teach one another how to lament.

Now hear the word of the Lord, you women, And let your ears receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And have every woman teach her neighbor a song of mourning.

Yet hear the word of the Lord, O women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a lamentation.

Yet hear the word of Jehovah, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.

I said,“ So now, you wailing women, hear what the LORD says. Open your ears to the words from his mouth. Teach your daughters this mournful song, and each of you teach your neighbor this lament.

Yet hear Yahweh’s word, you women. Let your ear receive the word of his mouth. Teach your daughters wailing, and everyone teach her neighbor a lamentation.

Receive instruction from his mouth, and place his sayings in your heart.

A large crowd of people followed him, including women who were mourning and lamenting him.But turning to them, Jesus said,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and your children.Look, the days are coming when they will say,‘ Blessed are the women without children, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed!’Then they will begin to say to the mountains,‘ Fall on us!’ and to the hills,‘ Cover us!’

Stand up, you complacent women; listen to me. Pay attention to what I say, you overconfident daughters.In a little more than a year you overconfident ones will shudder, for the grapes will fail and the harvest will not come.Shudder, you complacent ones; tremble, you overconfident ones! Strip yourselves bare and put sackcloth around your waists.Beat your breasts in mourning for the delightful fields and the fruitful vines,for the ground of my people growing thorns and briers, indeed, for every joyous house in the jubilant city.

This is what the LORD of Armies says: Consider, and summon the women who mourn; send for the skillful women.Let them come quickly to raise a lament over us so that our eyes may overflow with tears, our eyelids be soaked with weeping.

The LORD also says: Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, walking with heads held high and seductive eyes, prancing along, jingling their ankle bracelets,

“ I will make youths their leaders, and unstable rulers will govern them.”
