Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.

One friend cheats another. No one tells the truth. They have taught their tongues how to lie. They wear themselves out sinning.

Everyone deceives his neighbor, and no one speaks the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity.

“我的百姓啊，我向你做了什么呢？我在什么事上使你厌烦？你可以对我证明。

就是悖逆、不认识耶和华，转去不跟从我们的神，说欺压和叛逆的话，心怀谎言，随即说出。并且公平转而退后，公义站在远处；诚实在街上仆倒，正直也不得进入。诚实少见；离恶的人反成掠物。那时，耶和华看见没有公平，甚不喜悦。

你因路远疲倦，却不说这是枉然；你以为有复兴之力，所以不觉疲惫。

这是因为说谎之人的假冒；这等人的良心如同被热铁烙惯了一般。

他们磨舌如刀，发出苦毒的言语，好像比准了的箭，

铁匠把铁在火炭中烧热，用锤打铁器，用他有力的膀臂锤成；他饥饿而无力，不喝水而发倦。木匠拉线，用笔划出样子，用刨子刨成形状，用圆尺划了模样，仿照人的体态，做成人形，好住在房屋中。他砍伐香柏树，又取柞树和橡树，在树林中选定了一棵。他栽种松树，得雨长养。

这锅劳碌疲乏，所长的大锈仍未除掉；这锈就是用火也不能除掉。

他们弯起舌头像弓一样，为要说谎话。他们在国中增长势力，不是为行诚实，乃是恶上加恶，并不认识我。这是耶和华说的。

他们各人帮助邻舍，各人对弟兄说：“壮胆吧！”木匠勉励银匠，用锤打光的勉励打砧的，论焊工说：“焊得好”；又用钉子钉稳，免得偶像动摇。

你口任说恶言；你舌编造诡诈。

这等人若不行恶，不得睡觉；不使人跌倒，睡卧不安；

他们使舌头尖利如蛇，嘴里有虺蛇的毒气。细拉

你夸大的话岂能使人不作声吗？你戏笑的时候岂没有人叫你害羞吗？

所以，你们要弃绝谎言，各人与邻舍说实话，因为我们是互相为肢体。

试看恶人因奸恶而劬劳，所怀的是毒害，所生的是虚假。

众民所劳碌得来的被火焚烧，列国由劳乏而得的归于虚空，不都是出于万军之耶和华吗？

祸哉！那些以虚假之细绳牵罪孽的人！他们又像以套绳拉罪恶，

他们的舌头是毒箭，说话诡诈；人与邻舍口说和平话，心却谋害他。”
