“ Truly, truly I say to you, the one who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.

“ Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.

“ What I’m about to tell you Pharisees is true. What if someone does not enter the sheep pen through the gate but climbs in another way? That person is a thief and a robber.

“ Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.

“ I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber!

“ Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber.

“ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

“ I assure you: Anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen by the door but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.

“ I tell you the solemn truth, the one who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.

“ Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber.

All those who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.

For such people are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

“ Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

And no one takes the honor for himself, but receives it when he is called by God, just as Aaron also was.

But false prophets also appeared among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

This is what the Lord of armies says:“ Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; They tell a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the Lord.They keep saying to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said,“ You will have peace” ’; And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, They say,‘ Disaster will not come on you.’

Behold, I am against those who have prophesied false dreams,” declares the Lord,“ and reported them and led My people astray by their lies and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them nor command them, nor do they provide this people the slightest benefit,” declares the Lord.

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries,

Therefore it says,“ When He ascended on high, He led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.”( Now this expression,“ He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;

“ Send word to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has made you trust in a lie,”therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants; he will not have anyone living among this people, and he will not see the good that I am going to do for My people,” declares the Lord,“ because he has spoken falsely against the Lord.” ’ ”

“ Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own inspiration,‘ Listen to the word of the Lord!This is what the Lord God says:“ Woe to the foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have seen nothing!Israel, your prophets have been like jackals among ruins.You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build up a stone wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the Lord.They see deceit and lying divination, those who are saying,‘ The Lord declares,’ when the Lord has not sent them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their word!

Jesus responded and said to him,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should the shepherds not feed the flock?You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock.Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you searched for the lost; but with force and with violence you have dominated them.They scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every animal of the field and scattered.

“ Woe to you, blind guides, who say,‘ Whoever swears by the temple, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple is obligated.’You fools and blind men! Which is more important, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?And you say,‘ Whoever swears by the altar, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the offering that is on it is obligated.’You blind men, which is more important, the offering or the altar that sanctifies the offering?Therefore, the one who swears by the altar, swears both by the altar and by everything on it.And the one who swears by the temple, swears both by the temple and by Him who dwells in it.And the one who swears by heaven, swears both by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence.You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may also become clean.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.So you too, outwardly appear righteous to people, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

I did not send these prophets, But they ran. I did not speak to them, But they prophesied.

This is what the Lord my God says:“ Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter.Those who buy them slaughter them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says,‘ Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!’ And their own shepherds have no compassion for them.

Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen now, Hananiah: the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.Therefore, this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to remove you from the face of the earth. This year you are going to die, because you spoke falsely against the Lord.’ ”So Hananiah the prophet died in the same year, in the seventh month.

His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;And the dogs are greedy, they are never satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, without exception.“ Come,” they say,“ let’s get wine, and let’s drink heavily of intoxicating drink; And tomorrow will be like today, only more so.”

Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them— yet they keep saying:‘ There will be no sword or famine in this land’— by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!

For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or provide for the one who is exhausted, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs.Woe to the worthless shepherd Who abandons the flock! A sword will be on his arm And on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered, And his right eye will be blind.”

who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of dishonest gain.

having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having hearts trained in greed, accursed children;abandoning the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the reward of unrighteousness;but he received a rebuke for his own offense, for a mute donkey, speaking with a human voice, restrained the insanity of the prophet.These are springs without water and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved.For, while speaking out arrogant words of no value they entice by fleshly desires, by indecent behavior, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error,promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what anyone is overcome, by this he is enslaved.
