你們當相信我：我在父裡面，父也在我裡面。即使不信，也當因我所做的事而相信。

「我有比約翰更大的見證，因為父交給我工作要我去完成。我現在做的這些工作正為我見證：就是父差派了我。

耶穌回答：「我告訴過你們，你們卻不相信。我奉我父的名所行的這些事為我做見證；

難道你不相信我就在父裡面，父也在我裡面嗎？我對你們說的話，不是憑自己說的，而是住在我裡面的父，在做他的工作。

「各位以色列人哪，請聽這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌是神向你們所證實的人；神藉著他在你們中間行了大能、神蹟和奇事，正如你們自己所知道的。

神又照著自己的旨意，用神蹟、奇事和各種大能，以及聖靈的各種恩賜，與他們一同見證。

耶穌回答他們，說：「你們去把所聽見、所看見的告訴約翰，就是：瞎眼的得以看見，瘸腿的行走，痲瘋病人被潔淨，耳聾的聽見，死人得以復活，窮人得以聽到福音。

耶穌對他們說：「我把很多從父而來的美好之事顯給你們看了，你們是為哪一件要用石頭砸死我呢？」

這是為要應驗先知以賽亞所說的話：「主啊，我們所傳的，有誰相信了？主的膀臂，向誰顯示了？」他們之所以不能相信，是因為以賽亞又說過：「神使他們瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就使他們痊癒。」

就在那時候，耶穌治癒了許多有疾病的、有苦痛的、被邪靈附著的人，又施恩給許多瞎眼的使他們能看見。於是耶穌回答那兩個人，說：「你們去把所看見、所聽見的告訴約翰，就是：瞎眼的得以看見，瘸腿的行走，痲瘋病人被潔淨，耳聾的聽見，死人得以復活，窮人得以聽到福音。凡不因我被絆倒的人，就蒙福了。」
