You heard how I told you,‘ I go away, and I come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said‘ I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.

“ You heard me say,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

You heard me say to you,‘ I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am.

But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the congregation I will sing your praise.”Again,“ I will put my trust in him.” Again,“ Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me.”Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Jesus said to her,“ Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

God has gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a trumpet.Sing praises to God! Sing praises! Sing praises to our King! Sing praises!For God is the King of all the earth. Sing praises with understanding.

Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.

In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.You know where I go, and you know the way.”

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”Some of his disciples therefore said to one another,“ What is this that he says to us,‘ A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and,‘ Because I go to the Father’?”They said therefore,“ What is this that he says,‘ A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them,“ Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said,‘ A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me?’Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.The last enemy that will be abolished is death.For,“ He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says,“ All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.

My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house.For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.

You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among people, yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there.

You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance when it was weary.

After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.

But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name,that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying,“ Don’t be afraid. I am the first and the last,and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

“ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

“ Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.

saying,“ What you see, write in a book and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

Now Yahweh, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, says to bring Jacob again to him, and to gather Israel to him, for I am honorable in Yahweh’s eyes, and my God has become my strength.Indeed, he says,“ It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”Yahweh, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, says to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers:“ Kings shall see and rise up, princes, and they shall worship, because of Yahweh who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.They worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
