So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts,

But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad.If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.

So in all our distress and affliction, we were reassured about you, brothers and sisters, through your faith.For now we are alive again, if you stand firm in the Lord.For how can we thank God enough for you, for all the joy we feel because of you before our God?

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”

except that the Holy Spirit warns me in town after town that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.But I do not consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I may finish my task and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.

I will praise the LORD as long as I live! I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist!

When the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines; when the olive trees do not produce, and the fields yield no crops; when the sheep disappear from the pen, and there are no cattle in the stalls,I will rejoice because of the LORD; I will be happy because of the God who delivers me!

I tell you the solemn truth, you will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy.

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus likewise bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.

Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass?

“ Do I bring a baby to the birth opening and then not deliver it?” asks the LORD.“ Or do I bring a baby to the point of delivery and then hold it back?” asks your God.Be happy for Jerusalem and rejoice with her, all you who love her! About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the rest of the prisoners were listening to them.

So they left the council rejoicing because they had been considered worthy to suffer dishonor for the sake of the name.

Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.”Joyfully you will draw water from the springs of deliverance.At that time you will say:“ Praise the LORD! Ask him for help! Publicize his mighty acts among the nations! Make it known that he is unique!

Now during the blessing he departed and was taken up into heaven.So they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple courts blessing God.

For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession.

So they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

But be happy and rejoice forevermore over what I am about to create! For look, I am ready to create Jerusalem to be a source of joy, and her people to be a source of happiness.Jerusalem will bring me joy, and my people will bring me happiness. The sound of weeping or cries of sorrow will never be heard in her again.

“ Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me.

So this is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry! Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty! Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!Look, my servants will shout for joy as happiness fills their hearts! But you will cry out as sorrow fills your hearts; you will wail because your spirits will be crushed.

But if God is quiet, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, then who can see him? Yet he is over the individual and the nation alike,

‘ I tell you that everyone who has will be given more, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
