如今我要往你那裏去了；（我在世界上說這些話，是要使他們有我的喜樂完完滿滿在他們心裏。）

今我歸爾、而言此於世、致我之樂盈於彼焉、

今我歸爾、猶在世言此、使彼為我而喜甚、

今我歸爾、我尚在世言此、為使彼心內全得我樂、

今予歸父、而猶遺言於世者、欲使吾心之樂、沛然充溢於若輩之心也。

“ I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

轉臉注視着信仰上的開創者和完成者耶穌：他為了那擺在他前頭的喜樂，就堅忍着十字架，輕看羞辱，如今已在上帝的右邊坐着呢。

至於靈之果子呢、就是愛、喜樂、和平、恆忍、慈惠、良善、忠信、

這些事我對你們說了，是要使我的喜樂存在你們裏面，並使你們的喜樂得以完滿。

娶新婦的是新郎；新郎的朋友、那站着聽他的、一聽見新郎的聲音，就歡喜快樂；所以我的這喜樂是已得完滿了。

他又對他們說：『你們去喫肥美的，喝甘甜的，將祭肉分兒送給那不能豫備的；因為今天是我們的主的聖日；你們不要憂愁，因為靠永恆主而得的喜樂、就是你們的力量。』

那麼你們現今呢、也有憂愁；但我要再見你們，你們的心就歡喜了；並且你們的喜樂、誰也不能奪去。當那日、你們就不問我甚麼事了。我實實在在地告訴你們，凡你們奉我的名所要向父求的，他必給你們。直到現在、你們還沒有奉我的名求甚麼；求，就必得着，使你們的喜樂得以完滿。

願流淚撒播的、歡呼地收割。

因為上帝的國不在乎喫喝，乃在乎正義和平與喜樂都在聖靈之感動中。

耶穌知道父已將萬有交在他手裏，且知道自己從上帝而出，又要往上帝那裏去，

我就進到上帝的祭壇前，到上帝、我的極樂、那裏，彈琴稱讚你，上帝，我的上帝啊。

我將這些事告訴你們，是要使你們有平安於我裏面。在世界、你們有苦難；但你們要放膽，我已經勝了世界。』耶穌說了這些話，就舉目望天說：『父啊，鐘點到了，願你榮耀你的兒子，好使兒子也榮耀你。

門徒們也充滿着喜樂和聖靈。
