“ I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word.

「我不但為這些人祈求，也為那些藉着他們的話信我的人祈求，

“我不但為他們求，也為那些因他們的話而信我的人求，

『我不單為這些人求，也為那些因他們的話而信我的人求；

「我不僅為他們祈求，還為那些因他們的話而信我的人祈求，

我不僅為彼祈、亦為因其言而信我者祈、

我不第為此人祈、乃為聽其言而信我者祈、

我不獨為此人祈、兼為聽其言而信我者祈、

予不第為彼等求、亦為耹彼等之言、而置信於予者求焉。

“ My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

“ I do not pray only for them. I pray also for everyone who will believe in me because of their message.

“ I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,

“ I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.

“ I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word,

“ I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in Me through their message.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

“ I am not praying only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their testimony,

Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word,

So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

But many of those who heard the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.

“ I have revealed your name to the people you gave me from the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.Now they know that everything you have given me is from you,because I have given them the words you gave me. They have received them and have known for certain that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.“ I pray for them. I am not praying for the world but for those you have given me, because they are yours.Everything I have is yours, and everything you have is mine, and I am glorified in them.I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by your name that you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles—

For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me by word and deed for the obedience of the Gentiles,by the power of miraculous signs and wonders, and by the power of God’s Spirit. As a result, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum.
