『兄弟乎！聖神假大維之口、預言茹達斯引捕耶穌、此經已見應驗；

言際、十二徒之一茹答斯者果至、群人手刃興梃而隨之、蓋均為司祭長及民間耆老所遣者。鬻主者先已示眾以密號曰：『予與親吻者即是、可速執之。』至是乃趨耶穌之前、曰：『夫子平安！』且與之吻。耶穌曰：『友乎、爾來何為？』於是眾蠭擁而至、遂執耶穌。時耶穌從者某、拔刀砍大司祭僕、削其耳。耶穌曰：『納爾刀於鞘！蓋操刀者必傷於刀也。汝試思之、予豈不能求之吾父、即遣十二營以上之天神以臨之？如是則經所載必經之事、又將安從而應驗耶？』顧語眾曰：『爾手刃持梃、捕予一如捕盜。予曩者日坐殿中施訓於爾、何不執之？然此亦所以應驗先知所紀耳。』至是、門徒盡離耶穌、奔逃四散矣。

晚餐時、魔鬼已以鬻主之意、投入西門子茹答斯依斯加略之心。

今大難已臨而援手無人兮。吾主寧能捐棄而不顧。

言未已、而其十二門徒之一、茹答斯者、果引眾、手刃持梃而至、皆司祭長經生及長老之所派也。先是鬻主者曾予眾以號曰：『我所吻者即是、爾等當執而縛送之。』既至、即趨前呼曰：『夫子！』且當眾而吻之。眾乃下手執之。旁有一人、拔劍擊大司祭之僕、削其耳。耶穌向眾曰：『爾輩持梃手刃、執予如捕盜。曩者予日在爾中、施訓聖殿、而爾輩未嘗執予也；此亦所以應驗經言云耳。』至是眾徒皆棄之而遁。

既食餅、魔乃暢入其心。耶穌謂之曰：『汝所進行者、從速為之！』而坐中皆不識其所云果指何事。或以為茹答斯既司公橐、意者耶穌囑其購辦節日所需之物、或囑其斥貲濟貧耳。茹答斯食餅後、匆匆而出；夜已闌矣。
