And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.

謂售鴿者曰、將是物去之、毋以我父之室、為貿易之室、

顧謂售鴿者曰：『速收拾以去！勿以吾父之室、轉為貿利之場！』

To those who sold doves he said,“ Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”

He told those who were selling doves,“ Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”

And he told those who sold the pigeons,“ Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.”

Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them,“ Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”

and to those who were selling the doves He said,“ Take these things away from here; stop making My Father’s house a place of business!”

And He said to those who sold doves,“ Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise.

He told those who were selling doves,“ Get these things out of here! Stop turning My Father’s house into a marketplace!”

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen[ it], saith the LORD.

Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices[ shall be] accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather[ others] to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.All ye beasts of the field, come to devour,[ yea], all ye beasts in the forest.His watchmen[ are] blind: they are all ignorant, they[ are] all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.Yea,[ they are] greedy dogs[ which] can never have enough, and they[ are] shepherds[ that] cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam[ the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

[ He is] a merchant, the balances of deceit[ are] in his hand: he loveth to oppress.And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance:[ in] all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that[ were] sin.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and[ to] my God, and your God.

For a certain[ man] named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

My Father, which gave[ them] me, is greater than all; and no[ man] is able to pluck[ them] out of my Father’s hand.

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
