這時候，先來到墓穴的那另一個門徒也進去了。他看見了，就信了。原來，他們從來沒有明白過經上所說「他必須從死人中復活」的那句話。

我就想起了主如此說的話，『約翰用水施洗，但你們將要受聖靈的洗。』

耶穌對他們說：「這就是我還與你們在一起的時候，對你們說過的話：摩西的律法、先知書和詩篇上所記的有關我的一切事，都必須應驗。」
