週日黎明時分，幾位婦女帶著預備好的香料來到墳前，發現墓口的大石頭已經滾到旁邊，便進去，卻沒有看見主耶穌的遺體。正在猜疑之間，突然有兩個衣服發光的人站在旁邊，她們嚇得俯伏在地。那兩個人對她們說：「你們為什麼在死人中找活人呢？祂不在這裡，已經復活了！記住祂在加利利對你們說的話，『人子必須被交在罪人的手中，被釘在十字架上，在第三天復活。』」她們想起耶穌的話來，便離開墓地回去把事情的經過告訴十一個使徒和其他人。這些婦女就是抹大拉的瑪麗亞、約亞娜、雅各的母親瑪麗亞及其他人。

耶穌在週日清晨復活後，首先向抹大拉的瑪麗亞顯現，耶穌曾在她身上趕出七個鬼。

過了八天，門徒又聚在一起，多馬也在，門都關著。突然耶穌來了，站在他們當中說：「願你們平安！」

耶穌的十字架旁邊站著祂母親、祂母親的一個姊妹、革羅罷的妻子瑪麗亞和抹大拉的瑪麗亞。

抹大拉的瑪麗亞就去向門徒報訊，說：「我看見主了！」又把主對她說的話告訴門徒。當天晚上，即週日晚上，門徒因為害怕猶太人，把房門都關上了。忽然，耶穌來了，站在他們當中，對他們說：「願你們平安！」

所以請你命人看守墳墓三天，以防祂的門徒偷走祂的屍體，然後對百姓說祂已經從死裡復活。這樣的迷惑會比以前的更厲害！」彼拉多說：「你們帶上衛兵，去那裡嚴加看守。」他們就帶著衛兵去了，在墓口的石頭上貼上封條，派人看守墓穴。安息日剛過，週日黎明時分，抹大拉的瑪麗亞和另一位瑪麗亞一同到墳墓去察看。突然，大地劇烈地震動，上帝的天使從天而降，推開堵著墓穴的石頭，坐在上面。他的容貌如閃電，衣裳潔白如雪。看守墓穴的衛兵嚇得要死，渾身發抖。天使對那兩個女人說：「不要怕，我知道你們是在找那位被釘十字架的耶穌。祂不在這裡，正如祂所說的，祂已經復活了。你們來看，這是安放祂的地方。現在你們快回去，把這消息告訴祂的門徒，祂已經從死裡復活，先你們一步去了加利利，你們將在那裡見到祂。記住，我已經告訴你們了。」她們聽了又驚又喜，連忙離開墳墓，跑去告訴門徒。忽然，耶穌迎面而來，對她們說：「願你們平安！」她們就上前抱住祂的腳敬拜祂。耶穌對她們說：「不要害怕。去告訴我的弟兄，叫他們到加利利去，他們將在那裡見到我。」

過了安息日，抹大拉的瑪麗亞、雅各的母親瑪麗亞和撒羅米買了香料，要去抹耶穌的遺體。週日清早，太陽剛剛升起，她們就去墳墓那裡。途中她們彼此議論說：「誰能替我們滾開墓口那塊大石頭呢？」她們抬頭一看，那塊大石頭已經滾到一旁。她們進了墳墓，看見一位身穿潔白長袍的青年坐在右邊，嚇了一跳。

主日，我被聖靈感動，聽見身後有號角般響亮的聲音說：

每逢週日，各人應按照自己的收入抽出一部分留起來，免得我到的時候才現湊。

七日的第一日，我們會掰餅，保羅因為次日要離開，就向他們講道，直到深夜。
