这人夜里来见耶稣，说：“拉比，我们知道你是由神那里来作师傅的；因为你所行的神迹，若没有神同在，无人能行。”

暮夜來謁耶穌曰：『夫子吾人深知子之來教誨也、乃奉天主之聖命、蓋子所行之靈蹟、苟非天主所輔佑、其孰能行之？』

He came to Jesus at night and said,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

This man came to Jesus by night and said to him,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus.“ Rabbi,” he said,“ we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

以色列人乎、宜聽斯言、拿撒勒人耶穌、即上帝曾由彼所行於爾中之大能異蹟奇兆、表著於爾、如爾所知者、

上帝以聖神與能、膏拿撒勒耶穌、彼周遊行善、醫凡為魔所制者、蓋上帝偕之也、

然我所有之證、大於約翰者、蓋父委我以成之事、即我所行者、證我為父所遣也、

法利賽人有曰、斯人不守安息日、非由上帝也、或曰、罪人何能行如是異蹟乎、眾遂分黨、

曰、斯亦奇矣、彼啟我目、而爾不知其奚自耶、我知上帝不聽罪人、惟崇拜上帝而行其旨者、乃聽之、伊古以來、未聞有啟生而瞽者之目也、斯人若非由上帝、則無能為也、

斯二人將何以處之、蓋彼顯行異蹟、彰著於凡居耶路撒冷者、我儕不能言其無有也、惟免其廣播於民中、宜威嚇之、俾不復以斯名語人、

於是祭司諸長與法利賽人會集曰、斯人多行異蹟、我儕若何、若容其如是、眾將信之、羅馬人必至、奪我土地人民矣、

遂遣其徒、同希律黨、就之曰、夫子、我知爾乃誠者、且以誠宣上帝道、亦不徇人、蓋不以貌取人也、

眾中多信之、曰、基督至、其行異蹟、多於斯人乎、

耶穌言竟、遂往而隱、雖多行異蹟於眾前、而人猶不之信、

耶穌回顧、見其從己、曰、爾何求、對曰、拉比何居、拉比、譯即夫子也、

耶穌曰、馬利亞乎、馬利亞轉身、以希伯來音曰、拉波泥、即夫子也、

遂詣約翰曰、夫子、昔偕爾於約但外、爾所證者、今施洗、而人皆就之、

然有司多信之、因法利賽人、故不承之、恐見逐於會堂、蓋好人之榮、過於上帝之榮也、○

我若於其中未行人所未行者、彼則無罪、今彼於我及父、且見且惡矣、

基甸簡僕十人、遵耶和華命而行、但懼父家與邑眾、不敢行之於晝、而行之於夜、

中有尼哥底母即昔詣耶穌者、謂之曰、未聽其言、不識其所為、而鞫之、豈我律乎、

諳悉公義、服膺我法之民、尚其聽予、勿畏人侮、勿懼人毀、

此後、有亞利馬太約瑟者、耶穌門徒也、因畏猶太人、隱諱之、求彼拉多俾取耶穌屍、彼拉多許之、遂往取焉、又有尼哥底母、即昔夜就耶穌者也、攜沒藥和沈香約百斤而來、

既至、謂之曰、夫子、我知爾乃誠者、不徇乎人、蓋不以貌取人、而誠以上帝道訓人者也、納稅於該撒宜否、我儕納乎否乎、

且使宗主之兄弟、多因我縲絏、益毅然宣上帝道而無懼、
