袍上及甲上題有名號曰「萬王之王、眾主之主。」

吾語汝以地上之事、汝猶未信、若語汝以天上之事、又如何能信。人未有升天者；有之惟降自天上、而仍在天上之人子。

天主以其道託付義塞子孫、藉耶穌基督宣揚和平福音。耶穌基督者、萬有之主也。

夫舊約固亦有其敬禮之儀式、與夫有形之聖所也。

予乃降自天上之活糧、

如望揚聲為之作證曰：『予向所言：「有一後我而來、居我之上、原在我先」者、即斯人矣！』

予嘗云後我而至、先我而成者、即斯人矣！

故曰：方其上昇、領回眾俘；普天生靈、恩澤是濡。夫既云上昇、則其先已降入地下可知矣。而彼之所以先降、而後昇於諸天之上者乃欲貫通上下、充塞萬有耳。

蓋正如父之起死活人、子亦從心所欲、而賦人以生命。父不予人以黜陟、黜陟之權、已委之於子、欲使眾人敬子如敬父、凡不敬子者、即不敬遣子之父也。予切實告爾、人能聽從吾言、而信仰遣予來者、莫不享受永生、而免譴責、蓋已出死而入生矣。予切實語爾、時將屆矣、今即是也、死者當聞天主聖子之音、而聞之者咸得生焉。

基督今已昇天、位於天主右、一切天神及權德諸品、莫不翕然順服、統於一尊。

前幕乃現世之象徵也。凡現世所獻之禮品祭祀、皆不能使敬禮者之良心、臻於清明純粹之境界。蓋此等飲食盥滌之規、僅屬外表儀式、舊時所設、而有待乎革新者也。

先者本乎地而屬地、後者本乎天而歸天；一人屬地、則眾人屬地；一人屬天、則眾人屬天；
