Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

I am warning you about these things— as I warned you before— that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

in order that the law’s requirement would be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on the things of the Spirit.Now the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace.The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.

But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.

How can a human be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

Who can produce something pure from what is impure? No one!

because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.
