信我的人，就像聖經所說的，從他的腹中要湧流出活水的江河來。”他這話是指著信他的人要接受聖靈說的；那時聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得著榮耀。

耶穌說：“我就是生命的食物，到我這裡來的，必定不餓；信我的，永遠不渴。

他們必不飢餓，也不口渴，炎熱和太陽必不傷害他們，因為那憐憫他們的，要引領他們，帶領他們到水泉的旁邊。

你們既然聽了真理的道，就是使你們得救的福音，也信了基督，就在他裡面受了所應許的聖靈作為印記。這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據，直到神的產業得贖，使他的榮耀得著頌讚。

他們必不再餓，也不再渴；太陽和一切炎熱必不傷害他們。

這就是從天上降下來的食物，不像嗎哪，你們的祖宗吃過，還是死了；吃這食物的，必活到永遠。”

他在我們身上蓋了印，就是賜聖靈在我們心裡作憑據。

所有活著又信我的人，必定永遠不死，你信這話嗎？”

我們知道神的兒子已經來了，並且賜給我們悟性，使我們能認識那位真實者。我們也在那位真實者裡面，就是在他兒子耶穌基督裡面。這一位就是真神，也是永遠的生命。

因為罪的工價就是死，但神的恩賞，在我們的主基督耶穌裡，卻是永生。

不可讓神的聖靈憂傷，因為你們受了他的印記，等候得贖的日子。

賊來了，不過是要偷竊、殺害、毀壞；我來了，是要使羊得生命，並且得的更豐盛。

罪藉著死掌權；照樣，恩典也藉著義掌權，使人藉著我們的主耶穌基督進入永生。

正如你把管理全人類的權柄給了他，使他賜永生給你所賜給他的人。認識你是獨一的真神，並且認識你所差來的耶穌基督，這就是永生。

我要請求父，他就會賜給你們另一位保惠師，使他跟你們永遠在一起。這保惠師就是真理的靈，世人不能接受他，因為看不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因為他跟你們住在一起，也要在你們裡面。我不會撇下你們為孤兒，我要回到你們這裡來。不久以後，世人不再看見我，你們卻要看見我，因為我活著，你們也要活著。

聖靈親自和我們的靈一同證明我們是神的兒女。既然是兒女，就是後嗣；是神的後嗣，也和基督一同作後嗣。我們既然和他一同受苦，就必和他一同得榮耀。

你們既因順從真理，潔淨了自己的心靈，以致能真誠地愛弟兄，就應當從清潔的心裡彼此切實相愛。

他們要進入永遠的刑罰，義人卻要進入永生。”
