“ Please, sir,” the woman said,“ give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.”

妇人说：“先生，请把这水赐给我，叫我不渴，也不用来这么远打水。”

妇人对他说：“先生，请把这水赐给我，使我不渴，也不用到这里来打水。”

妇人说：“先生，请你把这种水赐给我，我就不会再渴了，也用不着来打水了。”

婦人說：「先生，請把這水賜給我，叫我不渴，也不用來這麼遠打水。」

婦人說：「先生，請你把這種水賜給我，我就不會再渴了，也用不著來打水了。」

婦人說：“先生，請把這水賜給我，使我不渴，也不用來這裡打水。”

婦人對耶穌說：『先生，請把這水給我，使我不渴，也不用穿街過巷到這裏來打水。』

婦人說：「先生，請給我那水，使我不渴，我也不用到這裡來打水了。」

婦曰主、請以此水予我、俾我不渴、無庸遠來以汲矣、

耶穌曰：『且去呼汝夫同來！』

The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water. Then I will never be thirsty. And I won’t have to keep coming here to get water.”

The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

“ Sir,” the woman said to him,“ give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and come here to draw water.”

The woman* said to Him,“ Sir, give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.”

The woman said to Him,“ Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.

“ Sir,” the woman said to Him,“ give me this water so I won’t get thirsty and come here to draw water.”

The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

“ Sir,” they said,“ give us that bread every day.”

For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.And this is the way to have eternal life— to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

Many people say,“ Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong— you want only what will give you pleasure.

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
