第三天，在加利利的迦拿有人舉辦婚宴，耶穌的母親在那裡。耶穌和門徒也被邀請去赴宴。酒喝完了，耶穌的母親就對祂說：「他們沒有酒了。」耶穌說：「婦人，這跟你我有什麼相干？我的時候還沒有到。」祂母親對僕人說：「祂叫你們做什麼，你們就做什麼。」那裡有六口猶太人用來行潔淨禮儀的石缸，每口可以盛約一百升水。耶穌對僕人說：「把缸倒滿水！」他們就往缸裡倒水，一直滿到缸口。耶穌又說：「現在可以舀些出來，送給宴席總管。」他們就送了去。那些僕人知道這酒是怎樣來的，宴席總管卻不知道。他嚐過那水變的酒後，便把新郎叫來，對他說：「人們都是先拿好酒款待客人，等客人喝夠了，才把次等的拿出來，你卻把好酒留到現在！」這是耶穌第一次行神蹟，是在加利利的迦拿行的，彰顯了祂的榮耀，門徒都信了祂。

直到上帝擊殺他們的時候，他們才回轉，誠心尋求上帝。

在患難中呼求我，我必拯救你，你必尊崇我。」

他們回到山下眾人聚集的地方。有一個人過來跪在耶穌跟前，說：「主啊！救救我的兒子吧！他患了癲癇症，痛苦極了，曾經幾次跌進火中，掉進水裡。

再經義伯崙、利合、哈門、加拿直到西頓大城；

耶穌前去雅魯家的時候，人群擁擠著祂。

當耶穌在說話的時候，來了一個管理會堂的人跪在祂面前，說：「我的女兒剛剛死了，請你去把手按在她身上，她就會活過來。」

西門·彼得、綽號「雙胞胎」的多馬、加利利的迦拿人拿但業、西庇太的兩個兒子以及其他兩個門徒都在一起。
