At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent over double, and could not straighten up at all.When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her,“ Woman, you are freed from your sickness.”And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God.But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response,“ There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”But the Lord answered him and said,“ You hypocrites, does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?”

If a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry at Me because I made an entire man well on a Sabbath?

So the Jews were saying to the man who was cured,“ It is a Sabbath, and it is not permissible for you to carry your pallet.”But he answered them,“ He who made me well was the one who said to me,‘ Pick up your pallet and walk.’”They asked him,“ Who is the man who said to you,‘ Pick it up and walk’?”

And grasping him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.And leaping up, he stood and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

Afterward, Jesus* found him in the temple and said to him,“ Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you.”

And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might bring charges against Him.But He said to them,“ What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”Then He* said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand!” He stretched it out, and it was restored to normal, like the other.

And taking the child by the hand, He* said to her,“ Talitha, kum!”( which translated means,“ Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).And immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astonished.

And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she served them.

And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

And Jesus said to him,“ Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.

And they were watching Him closely to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.He* said to the man with the withered hand,“ Get up and come forward!”And He* said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.
