又持餅祝謝、剖而授徒曰：『此乃吾體、為爾舍者、爾當恆行此典、以誌永懷。』

正如人子之來、非以役人、乃為人役、且捨其生以為眾人之贖焉。』

夫天主不惜以其惟一聖子賜之於世、俾凡信之者、得免淪亡、而獲永生、是其愛世之篤、為何如乎？

力行愛德、亦如基督之愛爾也。彼竟為吾人之故、慨然以身獻於天主、作為祭祀牲牷、芳氣馥馥、有如馨香。

翌日、如望見耶穌來就。乃曰：『此除免世罪、天主之羔羊也！

夫以毫無罪孽之基督、天主竟使其為吾人之故、成為罪孽、亦欲令吾人因基督之功、而成天主之正義云耳。

且吾人亦知聖父曾遣其聖子為救世主、此則吾人所親睹而可作證者也。

故基督之臨世也、則曰：『牲牷與獻禮、皆非爾所喜；爾已夙為我、妥備一形體。燔祭贖罪祭、非爾所樂意；吾曰：吾來矣、經中有明示；吁嗟吾天主、吾願行爾旨。』首節所謂「牲牷」、「祭禮」、「燔祭」、「贖罪祭」、「皆非爾所喜」者、悉屬律法之事也。繼乃曰：「我來」「行爾旨；」是則前者廢而後者立矣。吾人之所以得賴耶穌之一獻其身而罪累全釋者、亦憑斯「旨」而已矣。一般司祭、雖朝朝束身奉事、而供獻千遍一律之祭祀、終不能脫吾人於罪累也。惟基督之獻身贖罪、則一勞永逸、而坐於天主之右、

人未有升天者；有之惟降自天上、而仍在天上之人子。

此新路也、亦生路也。其所通過之帷幕、則基督之肉身也。

自宜欣然就之。渠乃具有生命之磐石、世人之所擯棄、而天主之所器重也。

基督為吾人自舍其身、正欲拯贖吾人、脫免一切罪惡、加以洗滌、俾得充其子民、發憤為善云耳。

蓋天主之糧無他、即降自天上而賜生命於世者是已。』

道成人身。居我儕中。吾儕親睹。孔德之容。惟一聖子。無上光榮。妙寵真諦。充溢厥躬。

申言之天主實寓基督內、慨然賜世人與之言歸於好、而不復計其舊惡、更簡吾儕專司重歡之道；

有能置信於予者、必有「活水之泉、湧自其懷、沛若江河、」正如經之所言也。』

婦曰：『先生既無汲水之具、而井又深、將何從而得活水乎？昔吾祖遺吾人以斯井、既自取飲、更欲以飲其子孫及其六畜；今先生豈尤偉於吾祖乎？』

為夫者當愛其妻、亦如基督之愛教會；基督為教會而舍己、

食此糧者必享永生。予所賜之糧、即予軀體、捐以活世。』猶太人互相爭論曰：『斯人亦焉能以其軀體食吾人乎？』耶穌又謂之曰：『予切實告爾、爾苟不食人子之體而飲其血、則爾不具生命。凡食吾體而飲吾血者、乃得永生、而予必復活之於末日。蓋吾體乃真食、吾血乃真飲。食吾體而飲吾血者、存乎我而我亦存乎其中也。正如永生之父遣予、而予因父而活、食予者亦將因予而活。
