At that, the Jews argued among themselves,“ How can this man give us His flesh to eat?”

Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves,“ How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

Therefore some of the Pharisees said,“ This man is not from God, for He doesn’t keep the Sabbath!” But others were saying,“ How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was a division among them.

Therefore the Jews started complaining about Him because He said,“ I am the bread that came down from heaven.”

“ How can these things be?” asked Nicodemus.

When they heard about resurrection of the dead, some began to ridicule him. But others said,“ We’d like to hear from you again about this.”

But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually.

“ But how can anyone be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked Him.“ Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born?”

When some from the crowd heard these words, they said,“ This really is the Prophet!”Others said,“ This is the Messiah!” But some said,“ Surely the Messiah doesn’t come from Galilee, does He?Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from David’s offspring and from the town of Bethlehem, where David once lived?”So a division occurred among the crowd because of Him.

“ Sir,” said the woman,“ You don’t even have a bucket, and the well is deep. So where do You get this‘ living water’?
