So Jesus said to the twelve,“ You do not want to leave also, do you?”

耶稣就对那十二个门徒说：“你们也要去吗？”

于是耶稣问那十二个门徒：“你们也要离开我吗？”

于是耶稣对十二门徒说：“你们也想离去吗？”

耶稣就对十二使徒说：“你们也不会想离开吧？”

耶穌就對那十二個門徒說：「你們也要去嗎？」

耶穌就對那十二使徒說：「你們也要離開嗎？」

耶穌就對那十二使徒說：「你們也要離開嗎？」

於是耶穌問那十二個門徒：「你們也要離開我嗎？」

於是耶穌對十二門徒說：“你們也想離去嗎？”

於是耶穌就對那十二個人說：『難道你們也想要去麼？』

耶穌就對十二使徒說：「你們也不會想離開吧？」

耶穌謂十二徒曰、爾亦欲去乎、

耶穌謂十二徒曰、爾曹亦欲去乎、

耶穌謂十二門徒曰、爾曹亦欲去乎、

因此門徒多有退者、不復從其遊。

“ You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.

“ You don’t want to leave also, do you?” Jesus asked the 12 disciples.

So Jesus said to the Twelve,“ Do you want to go away as well?”

Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked,“ Are you also going to leave?”

So Jesus said to the Twelve,“ You don’t want to go away too, do you?”

Then Jesus said to the twelve,“ Do you also want to go away?”

Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away?

Therefore Jesus said to the Twelve,“ You don’t want to go away too, do you?”

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

So Jesus said to the twelve,“ You don’t want to go away too, do you?”

Jesus said therefore to the twelve,“ You don’t also want to go away, do you?”

But Naomi said,“ Return, my daughters. Why should you go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?Return, my daughters! Go, for I am too old to have a husband. If I said I have hope, if I were even to have a husband tonight and also give birth to sons,would you therefore wait until they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters; for it is much more bitter for me than for you, because the hand of the Lord has come out against me.”And they raised their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother in law, but Ruth clung to her.Then she said,“ Behold, your sister in law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister in law.”But Ruth said,“ Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord do so to me, and worse, if anything but death separates me from you.”When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her about it.

But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”The people answered and said,“ Far be it from us that we would abandon the Lord to serve other gods;for the Lord our God is He who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves, and did these great signs in our sight and watched over us through all the way in which we went and among all the peoples through whose midst we passed.The Lord drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived in the land. We also will serve the Lord, for He is our God.”Then Joshua said to the people,“ You will not be able to serve the Lord, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your wrongdoing or your sins.If you abandon the Lord and serve foreign gods, then He will turn and do you harm and destroy you after He has done good to you.”And the people said to Joshua,“ No, but we will serve the Lord.”So Joshua said to the people,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen for yourselves the Lord, to serve Him.” And they said,“ We are witnesses.”

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite,“ Why should you go with us too? Return and stay with your king, since you are a foreigner and an exile as well; return to your own place.You came only yesterday, so should I make you wander with us today, while I go wherever I go? Return and take your brothers back; mercy and truth be with you.”

Now large crowds were going along with Him, and He turned and said to them,“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who are watching it will begin to ridicule him,saying,‘ This person began to build, and was not able to finish!’Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to face the one coming against him with twenty thousand?Otherwise, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and requests terms of peace.So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

Jesus answered them,“ Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.”

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew; and James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
