But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders.

Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke openly of him.

But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.

However, no one was speaking openly about Him, for fear of the Jews.

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus— but secretly because of his fear of the Jews— asked Pilate that he might remove Jesus’s body. Pilate gave him permission; so he came and took his body away.

His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews, since the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed him as the Messiah, he would be banned from the synagogue.

When it was evening on that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

Nevertheless, many did believe in him even among the rulers, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, so that they would not be banned from the synagogue.For they loved human praise more than praise from God.

The fear of mankind is a snare, but the one who trusts in the LORD is protected.

This man came to him at night and said,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one could perform these signs you do unless God were with him.”

For he regularly ate with the Gentiles before certain men came from James. However, when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he feared those from the circumcision party.Then the rest of the Jews joined his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.

for which I suffer to the point of being bound like a criminal. But the word of God is not bound.This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.This saying is trustworthy: For if we died with him, we will also live with him;if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
