Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.

Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand.

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,“ See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.”

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.And you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, thirteen bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old; they shall be without blemish;

“ Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

“ On the second day twelve bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,

“ On the fourth day ten bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the fifth day nine bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the sixth day eight bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offerings.“ On the seventh day seven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.“ On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly. You shall not do any ordinary work,but you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish,and the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.“ These you shall offer to the Lord at your appointed feasts, in addition to your vow offerings and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.”So Moses told the people of Israel everything just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds,“ Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me.

“ On the third day eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts.The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”
