看，他还在公开讲话，他们也没有对他说什么。难道首领们真的认为这个人就是基督吗？

你看，他公然放膽地講話呢，他們也不向他說甚麼！難道議員們真知道這個人是上帝所膏立者麼？

看，他還在公開講話，他們也沒有對他說什麼。難道首領們真的認為這個人就是基督嗎？

今彼侃侃而談、無與之言者、有司誠知其為基督乎、

今彼明言、而眾莫之禁、豈有司知其誠基督乎、

今彼顯言、而無人斥之、豈有司知其誠為基督乎、

今乃公然施訓、而莫之誰何！豈當局已確認其為基督乎？

Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?

Here he is! He is speaking openly. They aren’t saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he is the Messiah?

And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?

But here he is, speaking in public, and they say nothing to him. Could our leaders possibly believe that he is the Messiah?

Yet, look, he’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to him. Can it be true that the authorities know he is the Messiah?

And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they?

But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?

And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?

Yet, look! He’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to Him. Can it be true that the authorities know He is the Messiah?

But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to him. Do the rulers really know that this man is the Christ?

Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?

哪有官長和法利賽人信祂呢？

惡人未被追趕也逃竄，義人坦然無懼如雄獅。

在場的人看到彼得和約翰的膽量，又知道他們原是沒有學問的平民百姓，都很驚奇。他們認出這些人跟隨過耶穌，

祂不灰心也不沮喪，直到祂在地上設立正義。四海都渴望祂的訓誨。」

但那些法利賽人和律法教師沒有接受約翰的洗禮，拒絕了上帝為他們所定的旨意。

他父母因為害怕那些猶太人，所以才這樣說，因為那些猶太人早就商量好了，誰承認耶穌是基督，就把他趕出會堂。

因為上帝賜給我們的不是懦弱的心，而是剛強、仁愛、自律的心。所以，你不要羞於為我們的主做見證，也不要以我這為主被囚的人為恥，要靠著上帝的能力和我一同為福音受苦。

雖然我無法測度你的公義和拯救之恩，但我要終日傳揚你的作為。主耶和華啊，我要傳揚你大能的作為，單單述說你的公義。

祭司長和法利賽人便召開公會會議，說：「這人行了這麼多神蹟，我們該怎麼辦呢？如果讓祂這樣繼續下去，所有的人都會信祂，那時羅馬人一定會來奪取我們的土地，擄掠我們的人民。」當年擔任大祭司的該亞法對他們說：「你們什麼都不懂！你們沒有認識到，祂一個人替眾人死，而不是整個民族滅亡，對你們來說更好。」其實這句話不是出於他自己，只因那年他是大祭司，上帝藉著他預言耶穌將要替猶太民族死。祂不單是要替猶太民族死，也要把散居在各處的上帝的兒女聚集在一起。從那天起，他們就計劃要殺害耶穌，

耶和華啊，你知道我在大會中宣揚你的公義，沒有閉口不言。我述說你的信實和拯救之恩，沒有把你的公義隱而不宣，沒有在大會中避而不談你的慈愛和真理。

他們派了自己的門徒跟希律黨人一同去問耶穌：「老師，我們知道你誠實無偽，按真理傳上帝的道，你不徇情面，不以貌取人。

大多數主內的弟兄姊妹看見我為主被囚，信心受到鼓舞，更加放膽無懼地傳揚上帝的道。

我並不覺得羞愧，因為主耶和華幫助我。我心如堅石，知道自己必不會蒙羞。為我伸張正義的來了，誰要控告我呢？讓我們來理論吧！誰是我的控告者呢？讓他到我這裡來吧！

雖然這樣，仍有很多猶太的官員信了耶穌，只是在法利賽人面前不敢公開承認，因為害怕會被趕出會堂。

也請你們為我禱告，求上帝賜我口才，讓我勇敢地把福音的奧祕講解明白。我為傳福音成了披枷帶鎖的使者。請你們為我禱告，使我能盡忠職守，放膽傳福音。
