你看，他公然放膽地講話呢，他們也不向他說甚麼！難道議員們真知道這個人是上帝所膏立者麼？

今彼侃侃而談、無與之言者、有司誠知其為基督乎、

今彼明言、而眾莫之禁、豈有司知其誠基督乎、

今彼顯言、而無人斥之、豈有司知其誠為基督乎、

今乃公然施訓、而莫之誰何！豈當局已確認其為基督乎？

Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?

Here he is! He is speaking openly. They aren’t saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he is the Messiah?

And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?

But here he is, speaking in public, and they say nothing to him. Could our leaders possibly believe that he is the Messiah?

Yet, look, he’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to him. Can it be true that the authorities know he is the Messiah?

And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they?

But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?

And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?

Yet, look! He’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to Him. Can it be true that the authorities know He is the Messiah?

But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to him. Do the rulers really know that this man is the Christ?

Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?

難道首領或法利賽人中有信他的嗎？

惡人雖沒有人追趕也會逃跑；義人卻像少壯獅子無所懼怕。

他們看見彼得和約翰的膽量，又了解他們是沒有學問的普通人，就感到驚奇，並且了解他們是曾經與耶穌在一起的；

他不衰殘，也不被壓服，直到他在地上設立公正；眾海島都期盼他的律法。」

而沒有受過他洗禮的法利賽人和律法師們，就棄絕了神對他們的計劃。

他的父母說這些話，是因為怕那些猶太人。原來那些猶太人已經說好，如果有人承認耶穌是基督，就要把他趕出會堂。

實際上，神所賜給我們的，不是膽怯的靈，而是大能、慈愛、自制的靈。所以你不要以有關我們主的見證為恥，也不要以我——這主的囚犯為恥，而要藉著神的大能，為福音與我同受苦難。

我的口要終日講述你的公義和你的拯救——其數無法數算。我因主耶和華的大能而來，我要提說唯屬你的公義。

於是祭司長們和法利賽人召集了議會，說：「這個人行了很多神蹟，我們該做什麼呢？如果任憑他這樣下去，大家都會信他，羅馬人就會來，奪取我們的聖地和國家！」其中有一個人叫該亞法，是當年的大祭司，對他們說：「你們什麼都不懂！也不想一想，一個人替民眾死，免得全民族滅亡，這對你們是有益處的。」他說這話不是出於自己，只因他是當年的大祭司，就預言了耶穌要替全民族而死；而且不僅是替猶太民族死，也是要把神的那些四散的兒女都召集合一。從那天起，他們就商議要把耶穌殺掉。

我在廣大的會眾裡傳揚公義的佳音；看哪，我不會禁止我的嘴唇！耶和華啊，你是知道的。我沒有把你的公義掩藏在心裡，我述說了你的信實和拯救，我沒有向廣大的會眾隱瞞你的慈愛和信實。

他們派了自己的門徒們與希律黨的人一同去見耶穌，說：「老師，我們知道你是真誠的，並且按真理教導神的道。你不顧忌任何人，因為你不看人的情面。

並且大多數的弟兄因著我所受的捆鎖，就在主裡深信不疑、無所懼怕，更加大膽地傳講這話語。

因為主耶和華幫助我，所以我不受羞辱，因此我使我的臉堅毅如石；我知道我必不致蒙羞。稱我為義的那一位，與我相近；誰敢與我爭訟，就讓我們一同站起！誰是控告我的，就讓他近前來！

不過甚至是首領當中也有許多信耶穌的。但是為了法利賽人的緣故，他們不敢承認，免得被趕出會堂，

也為我祈求，好使我在開口的時候被賜予話語，能坦然無懼地讓人明白福音的奧祕——為此，我成了帶鎖鏈的特使。請為我祈求，使我能照著應該說的，放膽傳道。
