For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

Even Jesus’ own brothers did not believe in him.

For not even his brothers believed in him.

When his family heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said,“ He is out of his mind.”

He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him.But to all who have received him– those who believe in his name– he has given the right to become God’s children– children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.

So Jesus’ brothers advised him,“ Leave here and go to Judea so your disciples may see your miracles that you are performing.

But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then Jesus himself also went up, not openly but in secret.

Do not rely on a friend; do not trust a companion! Don’t even share secrets with the one who lies in your arms!For a son thinks his father is a fool, a daughter challenges her mother, and a daughter-in-law her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are his own servants.
