Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this handmaid and her son: for the son of this handmaid shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint- heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.

but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.So that thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman.Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.

But if he give of his inheritance a gift to one of his servants, it shall be his to the year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince; but as for his inheritance, it shall be for his sons.

For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard unto other husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons.Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.

For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
