那時你們行於其中，順着這世界的世風，順着空中有權勢的執政者，就是現今在悖逆的人身上運用動力的靈。

正當那時，有在場的人將加利利人的事告訴耶穌：說彼拉多屠殺加利利人，使他們流血跟祭物攙雜在一起。耶穌應時對他們說：『你們以為這些加利利人比加利利的大眾更為有罪、才這樣受害麼？不是的，我告訴你們；你們若不悔改，都必這樣滅亡。或是說，西羅亞裏面的樓所壓死的那十八個人——那樓殺害他們——你們以為他們有所虧負、過於那住耶路撒冷的眾人麼？不是的，我告訴你們；你們若不悔改，都必照樣滅亡。』

那時必有話對這人民和耶路撒冷說：在曠野無草木的高處上有一陣熱風向我子民颳來，不是為了簸揚，也不是為了揚淨，必有一陣太大的風、不是這些穀子所受得了的、為我颳來。現在是我要說出判語來定他們的罪。』

他們的父親雅各對他們說：『你們逕使我喪失兒子；約瑟沒有了，西緬也沒有了，你們又要將便雅憫帶走：這些事都落到我身上來了。』

王周身戰抖，就上城門樓上去哭：一面哭，一面這樣說：『我兒押沙龍啊，我兒，我兒押沙龍啊，我恨不得替你死！押沙龍啊，我兒，我兒！』

霖雨降，河流來，大風吹，碰着那房子，房子就倒壞；其倒壞是很大的！』

其餘的逃到亞弗城內；剩下的二萬七千人、城牆塌陷在他們身上了。便哈達也逃跑；進了城裏一間儘內屋。

蠻野人看見那活物懸在保羅手上，就彼此說：『這個人一定是兇手，他從海裏平安得了救，天理報應還不容他活着。』

把那有袖子的長褂送走，人就帶到他們父親那裏，說：『我們碰到了這一件；請認一認，是你兒子的褂子不是。他認得，就說：『我兒的褂子呀！惡獸把他喫了；約瑟一定被撕碎了，撕碎了。』

說：『讓我和非利士人同死吧』；就盡力屈身，以致那房子倒塌下來，壓住了霸主們和屋子裏所有的人。這樣，參孫死的時候所殺死的人比他活着時所殺死的還多。
