I will say to God,‘ Do not condemn me; tell me why you are contending with me.’

語上帝曰、毋擬我罪、示我何因、與我爭辯、

我籲上帝曰、爾毋以我為惡、即加譴責、亦必示以何故。

籲天主曰、莫以我為惡、主譴責我、求主示我何故、

I say to God: Do not declare me guilty, but tell me what charges you have against me.

I say to God,‘ Don’t find me guilty. Instead, tell me what charges you are bringing against me.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; let me know why you contend against me.

Do not sit in judgment on your servant, for no one alive is innocent before you.

If I am guilty, why then weary myself in vain?

But if you will look to God, and make your supplication to the Almighty,if you become pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself for you, and will restore your righteous abode.

“ Has anyone said to God,‘ I have endured chastisement, but I will not act wrongly any more.Teach me what I cannot see. If I have done evil, I will do so no more.’

The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!Because of this, our hearts are sick; because of these things, we can hardly see through our tears.

Let us carefully examine our ways, and let us return to the LORD.Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven:“ We have blatantly rebelled; you have not forgiven.”ס( Samek)

LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger! Do not discipline me in your raging fury!Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am frail! Heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking!I am absolutely terrified, and you, LORD– how long will this continue?Relent, LORD, rescue me! Deliver me because of your faithfulness!

Do not hold against me the sins of my youth or my rebellious acts! Because you are faithful to me, extend to me your favor, O LORD!

Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

O sovereign LORD, intervene on my behalf for the sake of your reputation! Because your loyal love is good, deliver me!

O LORD, do not continue to rebuke me in your anger! Do not continue to punish me in your raging fury!For your arrows pierce me, and your hand presses me down.My whole body is sick because of your judgment; I am deprived of health because of my sin.For my sins overwhelm me; like a heavy load, they are too much for me to bear.My wounds are infected and starting to smell, because of my foolish sins.I am dazed and completely humiliated; all day long I walk around mourning.For I am overcome with shame and my whole body is sick.I am numb with pain and severely battered; I groan loudly because of the anxiety I feel.

But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.
