But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?

你们若说：我们逼迫他要何等地重呢？惹事的根乃在乎他；

你们若说：‘我们怎么逼迫他呢？事情的根源是在于他’，

你们若说：‘我们怎么逼迫他呢？事情的根源是在于他’，

你们说祸根在我身上，还想继续迫害我。

你们若说：‘惹事的根既然在他，我们要怎样逼迫他呢？’

你們若說：我們逼迫他要何等地重呢？惹事的根乃在乎他；

你們若說：『我們怎麼逼迫他呢？事情的根源是在於他』，

你們若說：『我們怎麼逼迫他呢？事情的根源是在於他』，

你們說禍根在我身上，還想繼續迫害我。

你們若說：‘惹事的根既然在他，我們要怎樣逼迫他呢？’

你們若說：「我們要怎樣逼迫他呢？這事的根乃在乎他呀」，

爾若謂迫之宜如何、其事之根、在我約伯、

然爾曰、我儕將何以得其致罪之由、而加詰責。

彼時、爾將曰、我逼迫之何故、維時必顯善根於我、

If you say,“ How will we pursue him, since the root of the problem lies with him?”

If you say,‘ How we will pursue him, since the root of the trouble is found in him!’

If you say,‘ How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,

Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found[ some] good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.

For they persecute[ him] whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
