How he blesses them! They raise large families there, and their herds of livestock increase.

Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.

He owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 teams of oxen, and 500 female donkeys. He also had many servants. He was, in fact, the richest person in that entire area.

“ And the Lord has greatly blessed my master; he has become a wealthy man. The Lord has given him flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, a fortune in silver and gold, and many male and female servants and camels and donkeys.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him.He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.He acquired so many flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and servants that the Philistines became jealous of him.

We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good.

May our barns be filled with crops of every kind. May the flocks in our fields multiply by the thousands, even tens of thousands,and may our oxen be loaded down with produce. May there be no enemy breaking through our walls, no going into captivity, no cries of alarm in our town squares.Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord.
